If the light intensity is too high the PSD will not be damage it will be saturated locally, which means that the non-linearity will increase. Maximum light intensity for DC light should be less than 3W/cm2, which for a 100 micron light spot is less than 0,25mW.If you require a high light intensity, SiTek can on customers request make a special process that will make the standard PSD able to handle about 5 times as higher light intensity.
