What kind of steps do you take to control thermal drift? Are the PSDs cooled in any kind of way?
Answer
We have minimized thermal drift by using some special processing in our fabrication. The remaining drift can be compensated for by using some dedicated electronics system as drift seems to a linear function of temperature.
The PSDs are not cooled, but we do manufacture special versions that can operate down to liquid nitrogen temperature.
